I have been using a slow cooker for years to make meals for my family and like how easy it is to just "set and forget" until its ready. I recently discovered the pressure cooker....my mom got one and I was amazed how fast it cooked everything so of course I had to have one too. I purchased the Gourmia GPC-1000 Smartpot 10 Quart Pressure Cooker and I love it. I do have to say that when it arrived I was a bit intimidated because of its large size and all the buttons but after reading the manual and understanding what the pot can and can't do (which is very little) I can easily use the pressure cooker and its really rather simple.

All of the menu buttons are preset with a time for each item and there are buttons for rice, soup, meat, beans, steam, saute, poultry, dessert, slow cook and porridge. There is also a + and - in the center to make your own time or to add time to the meal along with a warm/cancel button. The display is LED and shows your remaining time in a red light. If you are looking for something to feed a large amount of people or to batch cook then this is the pressure cooker for you. The set includes the 10 quart pressure cooker, a power cord, instruction manual, stainless steel rack, measuring cup and spoon. The longest cooking time using the pressure cooker is 1 hour and that's for special meat. Most meals and food items can be cooked in less than 30 minutes where as if using a slow cooker it would have taken hours. The inner pot can be removed to store food in the fridge or can be used on the stove (by itself) as a pot to warm food (like soup) up again and there are measurements on the inner pot as well so that you can make sure you are cooking with the correct amount.

I really have no complaints and its the easiest pressure cooker to use...ever. I can't believe I didn't purchase one sooner. I have made red beans in less than 30 minutes when it used to take 8 hours....what's not to love about that?! Yes you can still use the slow cooker option on this cooker and cook with longer times if you would like. Easy to clean with just soap and water (do not immerse the cooker itself in water) and stores easily. Would make any spouse and friend happy with this purchase.

Sleep The Day Away With Your Favorite Person In This Double Hammock

What a wonderful way to relax in the shade. I have been wanting to buy a hammock to share with my children so that they too could enjoy life and slow down a little...ok, maybe I just want to take a nap in the shade while the kids play outside. The Double Camping Hammock  is black and purple in color with a little shine to it. It is made from parachute nylon fabric and it includes a built-in drawstring pocket/bag that also doubles as the hammock holder (yes the entire hammock fits in that small bag), hammock straps to tie to trees and 2 hooks. There really is no need for instructions to set up this hammock and it takes less than 5 minutes to set the entire thing up and you can relax the rest of the day.

 

 

The Hammock is super soft and smooth to the touch yet so very strong and triple stitched so there is no way it can break. It supports all 4 of my kids and myself although I don't recommend 5 people in 1 hammock due to the comfortability level. The hammock can withstand the weight of 2 adults easily so this thing is basically indestructible and that makes it a great buy. There are so many places that you could bring this hammock since it is so small and lightweight but I plan to bring it with me this summer for my trip to the mountains. My favorite part is how easy it is to clean....just throw the hammock in the washing machine to clean and air dry. Perfect gift for anyone looking to relax.

I was looking for packing tape that would keep my packages sealed tightly and look professional while not taking away from the package like grey tape or polka dot tape do. This pack of 6 rolls of Clear Packing Tape with Dispenser was a good solution for my needs. I will be able to seal all of my packages for months and the tape is strong enough that I don't have to worry about the tape lifting because the adhesive is super sticky. The tape goes on clear which is perfect because I like to make the labels waterproof (in case it rains). I have used the tape to hold boxes together that

weighed up to 10 lbs (but it could hold more). The only drawback I have seen is actually getting the tape to pull off the roll in one piece and staying on the dispenser...I wound up purchasing a larger dispenser to keep the tape up and off the roll but the one included works well for basic taping. Overall, this pack of tape and the dispenser works well and would be a good purchase for anyone.

Finger Puppets Bring Stories To Life.

 

I have been looking for a way (other than photos) to teach my 2 autistic children about families and who all can be in a family. I purchased this set of finger puppets with the hope that my children would understand. I am quite impressed with the detailing and each puppet fits on both my fingers and my children's with the help of the built-in elastic band. There is a grandmother, grandfather, mom, dad, sister and brother each with clothing and hair that fits each puppet (sister has pig tails and a bright dress while grandmother has grey hair in a bun). The puppets are very lightweight and flexible allowing children a chance to feel and look at the puppets without breaking them. So far my children have enjoyed these puppets and I have gone as far as giving each family member the puppet that pertain to them (grandmother puppet to grandmother) so that when they speak to them the children can relate the puppet to the person. Great for storytelling and role playing as well.

Let Your Voice Be Heard With A Wireless Microphone System

 

 The Audio 2000's DUAL-Channel UHF Wireless Microphone System works great in an auditorium setting.  The DUAL-MIC system sells reasonably for under $100.00 and the unit comes complete with everything you will need to get started whether you are using it to connect to a professional mixer or just into your typical audio system so you can relax and get right to using it. It comes with a hard plastic molded carrying case with Audio 2000's logo embossed into the top that includes foam padding on the inside with cutouts that are fitted for the equipment to fit snugly within for holding your equipment secure during transport from one location to another and protecting it from damage. The kit contains two handheld AWX6070 Hand Held Transmitters (Microphones), one AWR6074U Receiver, a 3ft (1m) 1/4" male to 1/4" male Audio Cable, an FD41UD-14-500 AC/DC Adaptor with an Input voltage of 120vac and an Output voltage of 14vdc@500mA, 4pcs 1.5vdc "AA" batteries, and an instruction pamphlet. (English only). Most of the casings are made of plastic, but you would have to pay a whole lot more for metal casing enclosures, removable antennas, etc... The AWM6074U System is Warranted by H&F Technologies, Inc. for a period of 1yr.

The AWM6074U system uses an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) signal operating in the 570Mhz to 696Mhz band. It is designed strictly for "Line of Sight" usage without obstructions for best operation and has a maximum range of 300ft Outdoors and 150ft Indoors, although the manual specifies that the servicing area of the system is 100ft.

The AWR6074U is a UHF Band Receiver with a receiving sensitivity of -105dBm and has a Signal to Noise Ratio of 80dB with less than 1% of Total Harmonic Distortion. The antennas appear to be dual standard 3dB antennas which are permanently attached to the unit. The AWX6070 Microphones are battery operated UHF Transmitters producing a maximum power output of 30mW from 2pcs of 1.5v "AA" batteries, having a power consumption of <40mA giving it approximately 2 - 2 1/2hrs of operation. The AWM6074U System components together sport a frequency stability of +/- 0.005%, a Signal to Noise Ratio >80dB, a maximum Sound Pressure Level of 110dB, and a Total Harmonic Distortion of <1%. That's pretty good specifications. The AWM6074U System has Dual A/B Audio Level Adjustment knobs for the hand held Microphones, RF Signal indicators used for providing a visual indication of the individual Radio Frequency and Signal Levels received from each of the Microphone Transmitters corresponding to each channel as well as the group and channel being used, and Audio Frequency Signal Level indicators used for providing a visual indication of the Audio levels coming from each Microphone also corresponding to its channel (The RF frequencies are not adjustable). The System has two Balanced Microphone Outputs (XLRM Jacks) for individually controlled output, and a single 1/4" Unbalanced Microphone Output for a "Mixed" output to your amplification equipment. The Microphone sports a 3 position ON/OFF/MUTE switch with a Red Low Power LED to indicate when the batteries are low and in need of changing.

The setup of the system is pretty easy and straight forward.

1. Remove unit from the carrying case.
2. Connect the power Adaptor and plug into an AC outlet and then to the Receiver unit.
3. Position the Antennas in a vertical position.
4. Connect either the Balanced or Non-balanced outputs to the Microphone inputs of your sound system.
5. Turn the Audio Adjustment Level knobs full Counterclockwise.
6. Install two batteries in each of the Microphone Transmitters.
7. Turn the power switch of the AWX6070 Microphones to the first "Mute" position.
8. Turn the power on to the AWR6074U Receiver with the power switch on the front panel.
9. Turn the volume slider down on the mixer channel you are attaching to.
10.Turn the Audio Adjust knobs on the Receiver Clockwise to the 12-O'Clock position.
11. Push the Microphone switch to the "On" position and adjust your mixer levels to a comfortable level.

I hooked the AWM6074U System up to our mixer and tested the setup. The audio was crisp and clear without any distortion of any kind. The mute functions worked like a charm and I was able to go into the extremities of our 50ft x 100ft building using the remote microphones without any hesitation, skip, or loss of audio nor RF signal. Not bad for what I would consider an Entry Level Dual Chnl Microphone System. I am very pleased with the quality and cost for this setup and would recommend it to anyone needing a wireless microphone system that will easily fit your budget.

Upgrade To A Life Of Luxury With The Ozeri Maestro Electric Wine Opener

 

If only I had one of these a few years ago when I was bartending! After years of opening wine bottles with a corkscrew I can finally not have to work for my wine. The Ozeri Maestro Electric Wine Opener is definitely an upgrade for my home bar. The sleek and modern design makes it look much more expensive and the flattened bottom makes it ideal for a home with children in it. We just remodeled our bathroom and haven't been able to decide on a shower head that works for my family. Being that I'm accident prone, I don't always want to chance taking my phone with me to places like the beach, pool or outside events but I also don't want to miss any photo opportunities either. I decided to purchase a camera that could withstand weather conditions and not fog up, break when wet and that could take pictures and video as well. The Ivation 20MP Underwater Shockproof Digital Camera does everything I was looking for and even has an extra screen so I can take selfies!

This digital camera offers so many features like dual screens (2.7 in and 1.8 in), built-in flash, 4x zoom, self-timer, photo mode, video mode, normal/macro mode, date/time and more. The size is small and can fit in your purse, pocket or keep it closer with the use of the included wrist strap. I personally had to read the directions to figure out how to work the camera and switch it to video mode but then again....I've only ever used my cell phone camera. I did find that the camera does show a little lagging when turning on and going through basic functions. The flash takes a few seconds to "charge" and will not take pictures until then which could leave you without that special moment.

Videos actually turn out great but there is no way to hear sound since there is no speaker but once you upload the video to your computer the sound plays. Colors even adjust well when you go from dark areas to light. I'm looking forward to taking this on my cruise this coming February and I have already tried submerging the camera under water and it still took pictures fine. Good camera for the price.

Large enough to fit a whole recipe blend for lip gloss, perfume and more

I found a few new essential oil recipes that I have been wanting to try but I ran out of available roller bottles. After looking around I decided to purchase this pack of 6 Frosted Blue Glass Roll On Bottles by Easytle because of the size (10ml) and because I love the frosted blue look. The bottles look great by themselves and would make a great gift with oils included. I was able to fit all of my new recipes inside each bottle since they are larger bottles. I was impressed to see that the roller balls do not leak and fit tightly inside the bottle yet they are easy to remove when you need to refill or clean them. Don't waste time cleaning up spilt oils when you can be using these funnels that are perfect for roller bottles

 

I love making my own essential oil blends but it gets hard to fit all the oils into the tiny sized bottles...especially with a regular sized funnel. I was able to find this pack of 6 mini clear plastic funnels that are 3.2cm x 4.2cm and perfect for my needs. The funnels are super tiny and have a little tab on the top side that has a hole in the center so that you can attach string to the funnel or just use the tab as a place to hold the funnel when needed. I have been able to use the tiny funnels in all of my essential oil roller bottles and there is never a mess anymore....the funnel even fits in the small 3 ml bottles with no problems.
