After numerous times of burning my arms and fingers, I finally decided to purchase a pair of gloves that could handle the heat and protect me in the process. The Silicone Glove Set by BlueSkyBos were the best choice I have made in a long time (when it comes to purchasing kitchen utensils). As a bonus, this set comes not only with a matching pair of silicone gloves but an apple shaped trivet, a pair of coffee coasters and an eBook with recipes and tips too. The gloves and trivet are bright red in color and made from 100% heat resistant silicone up to 450 degrees! With that high amount I can wear the gloves to BBQ on the grill or to cook dishes in my oven without even feeling the heat.
The gloves have tiny heart shaped grips all over the outside on both sides and since the glove is able to be used on the left or right hand you never have to worry about not having a pair (you can still get by with 1 glove). There is the "BlueSkyBos" logo in black on each glove and a small hole allows you to hang the pair of gloves up if desired. They are very lightweight and completely flexible allowing my tiny hands to grip anything I need to while wearing them. The gloves are big on me but they do not slip off while trying to use them. The apple shaped trivet is also red in color and very flexible. It can be used to remove things from the stove/oven or to place a hot dish on to protect your countertop. Both the gloves and trivet are easy to clean...just place in the dishwasher and your done.
The coffee coasters are lightweight and small but sturdy. They will keep the heat from transferring onto your table or desk and are small enough to store when not in use. Overall, this is a set with a great value and lots of extras besides just a pair of gloves. Would make the perfect gift for housewarming parties.
